NAME

Bencher::Scenario::HashUnique - Benchmark Hash::Unique

VERSION

This document describes version 0.001 of Bencher::Scenario::HashUnique (from Perl distribution Bencher-Scenario-HashUnique), released on 2017-06-07.

SYNOPSIS

To run benchmark with default option:

 % bencher -m HashUnique

To run module startup overhead benchmark:

 % bencher --module-startup -m HashUnique

For more options (dump scenario, list/include/exclude/add participants, list/include/exclude/add datasets, etc), see bencher or run bencher --help.

DESCRIPTION

Packaging a benchmark script as a Bencher scenario makes it convenient to include/exclude/add participants/datasets (either via CLI or Perl code), send the result to a central repository, among others . See Bencher and bencher (CLI) for more details.

BENCHMARKED MODULES

Version numbers shown below are the versions used when running the sample benchmark.

Hash::Unique 0.06

BENCHMARK PARTICIPANTS

  • Hash::Unique (perl_code)

    Code template:

     [ Hash::Unique->get_unique_hash(<array>, <key>) ]
  • ad-hoc (perl_code)

    Code template:

     my @res; my %seen; for (@{ <array> }) { push @res, $_ unless $seen{ $_->{ <key> } }++ }; \@res

BENCHMARK DATASETS

  • 2elems-1key

  • 10elems-3keys

SAMPLE BENCHMARK RESULTS

Run on: perl: v5.24.0, CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz (4 cores), OS: GNU/Linux Debian version 8.0, OS kernel: Linux version 3.16.0-4-amd64.
